How NEO, your in-game assistant, works and how your data is protected.
NEO runs as a deterministic assistant entirely on your device. In this mode nothing you type is sent to any external AI service — NEO cannot and does not transmit your chat, your character or your finances.
NEO can optionally use an external AI provider (OpenAI) for open-ended replies. This feature is currently DISABLED and makes zero external requests. It will only ever activate after you explicitly opt in, and you can choose a deterministic-only mode at any time.
If you ever enable external AI, the request is field-level minimal: only a short, bounded slice of the recent conversation and your interface language. It never includes your name, your save file, your exact balances or detailed finances.
When enabled, prompts would be processed by OpenAI, which may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards. OpenAI's retention of API requests is governed by its terms; we do not retain AI-interaction logs beyond what troubleshooting needs and delete them within 30 days.
Enabling or disabling external AI is a per-purpose consent you can change any time from the privacy preferences. AI output is advisory text only and can never move your money or act in the game on its own.
